The focus of the British School of Fashion collection is on socially conscious fashion and sustainable luxury, topics in line with the Common Good curriculum of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at the British School of Fashion, reflecting our faculty’s research, consultancy and teaching. Topics focus on strategic innovators and disruptors and the businesses and brands analyzed range from charity sector retailers and small social enterprises to global luxury players.

Description of School

Fashion is a vehicle both for driving and reflecting change. British School of Fashion inspires and contributes to social change through the delivery of education, knowledge and thought leadership. The school’s mission is to educate the next generation of industry leaders equipping them with the knowledge and understanding of how to lead and develop more inclusive, sustainable and purpose - driven businesses in luxury and fashion. Offering a unique set of programmes across Luxury and Fashion, the school hosts industry practitioners to speak on a weekly basis to reinforce contemporary narratives, challenges and opportunities. This enables students to have a deeper learning experience, which is a balance between theory and practice. The London location has facilitated strong links and support from industry including a number of Honorary Professors and company networks which deliver access to regular guest speakers, industry visits, internships and live projects. In addition to the academic experience they have, students are developed on a personal basis, with a curriculum rooted in nurturing their curiosity, self-belief and an understanding of the common good. The school instils confidence into students individually in part because of small class sizes where they engage in seminar discussions, presentations and discussions of live industry topics.
